Carbon neutral

Carbon neutral ingredients Nexira’s baobab production is directly and sustainably sourced in Africa. It supports local harvesting and contributes to the creation of a valuable source of income for rural families. The high-performance formulation inavea BAOBAB ACACIA acts as an effective microflora regulator to create, restore and sustain a beneficial bacteria balance. Our proprietary scientific study has demonstrated the complementary and significant prebiotic activities of inavea BAOBAB ACACIA. The study has also demonstrated a gradual fermentation across the entire intestine, i. e. full spectrum gut fermentation. inavea BAOBAB ACACIA is suitable for diets low in FODMAP, so, unlike some fibres, its consumption does not lead to discomfort. There are multiple health benefits associated with inavea BAOBAB ACACIA: – A balanced microbiota to boost beneficial bacteria – Enhanced digestive health – Supported metabolic health with the modulation of oxidative and inflammatory markers – 100 % natural formulation – Subtle flavour of Baobab, slightly tangy with fruity notes – Low hygroscopicity – High nutrient content How is it possible to offer a carbon neutral ingredient? To meet this ambitious and 100 % voluntary challenge, Nexira is supported by EcoAct, a leading company in environmental and carbon strategies. We must look to the future and carry strong values, which have meaning and which correspond to us. Global warming is a significant and immediate challenge. Carbon neutrality is certainly an ambitious project from an environmental point of view, but also an economic one! It embodies all the actions we have been carrying out for a long time.” Mathieu Dondain, CEO, Nexira. The carbon neutral approach is divided into 3 steps: We measure (Summer 2020): Everything is analyzed with the GHG Protocol, an internationally recognized methodology. Nexira efforts must be concentrated on the Energy-related emissions which account for 45 % of CO 2 emissions. We reduce (October 2020): Following the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) guidelines to align Nexira’s emission targets and timelines. The aim is to reduce carbon emissions by 18 % across our entire scope by 2025 which is aligned with the trajectory of containing temperatures increases to well below 2 °C. We compensate (December 2020): To offset its inavea range, Nexira has chosen to contribute to a project carefully selected by EcoAct and certified by Gold Standard ® , thus ensuring that the project meets the most rigorous standards to offset 100 % of remaining carbon emissions of the inavea brand. January 2021: inavea is the first carbon neutral ingredients brand With inavea, its range of organic and premium ingredients, Nexira, the world leader in the processing of acacia gum, has embarked on an ambitious project of carbon neutrality. Nexira is now able to provide carbon-neutral ingredients, counting as zero in the carbonscore of its customers finished products. Supported by climate science and under regulatory considerations, major changes are ongoing in the Food Industry. Nexira is proud to be the first to guide you in this new challenge.
