machining center New metal 3D printer for the first time in Europe DN Solutions (formerly Doosan), the world’s third largest and Korea’s leading manufacturer of machine tools, is presenting the new DLX series at EMO. With the addition of the metal 3D printer to its product portfolio, DN Solutions combines additive and subtractive manufacturing for the first time, completing the manufacturing process. The synergy of 3D printing and CNC technology creates new, highly complex components in the shortest production time. The DLX series is DN Solutions’ global entry into the rapidly growing market for additive technologies. With its first industrial-grade LPBF metal 3D printer, the company is targeting applications where conventional manufacturing processes reach their limits, such as lightweight components, organic structures or function-optimized metal components. At the same time the metal 3D printer offers solutions for the entire production chain in combination with established machining production processes. The aim is to close the previously missing end-to-end link between LPBF and CNC processes. Through the systematic integration of software, automation and component handling, DN Solutions creates the basis for scalable turnkey solutions along the entire process chain. The flagship of the new additive manufacturing division is the DLX 450D. The industrial high-performance 3D printer is suitable for 24/7 production and offers an exchangeable build container to minimize nonproductive time, a multi- laser system for high printing speed and a build volume of 450 x 450 x 450 mm. Accelerated product development and efficiency in additive manufacturing Additive manufacturing and therefore the machines in the DLX series shorten time-to-market for new products, reduce costs through component integration and enable new designs, from complex geometries and lightweight structures to internal near-contour cooling channels and highly customized components. The metal 3D printer is used in industries such as aerospace, automotive, semiconductor manufacturing and medical technology. Prior to the market launch, DN Solutions successfully tested the technology and additively redesigned the front cap of a spindle cylinder for the multitasking machine DNX2100 – based on the principles of design for additive manufacturing (DfAM). The result was a 20 % increase in performance and simplified assembly thanks to component integration. “In our view there is no alternative to additive manufacturing for companies that want to produce competitively. It offers opportunities to produce complex metal components that The new metal 3D printer DLX 325 could not be realized otherwise” says Vino Suntharakumaran, vice president additive manufacturing, DN Solutions. “It was there fore a logical step for as a holistic solution provider to include this technology in our portfolio. The mandatory mechanical post-processing allows us to utilize synergies of already established technologies such as five-axis simultaneous machining and automation solutions. In addition to these solutions, we complete the 360 ° offering with software, services and support. This ranges from consulting on what to print and how to design for additive, to training and ramp-up support during production, directly on site.” DN Solutions also provides support along the additive process chain with its in-house AM software suite – from the initial idea to the design and the successful production of the component. The integrated approach of hardware and software is particularly helpful for companies that want to get into additive metalworking or expand their production. In future, customers will receive support at in the additive solution center in Gütersloh, which will open in 2026. “Silver & Blue”: exhibited machines show award-winning design concept In addition to the new DLX series, DN Solutions will be exhibiting further machines from the “DN Solutions Universe” at EMO, including the DVF5000 2 nd generation and the DNX2100. Both machines have undergone significant design updates and are the first to be launched on the market in the new Red Dot Award-winning product design. The 5-axis machining centers of the DVF series reduce setup times and increase productivity, especially in deman d- ing industries such as aerospace or the semiconductor industry. At the same time the DVF machines in combination with automation solutions allow for the realization of unmanned systems. The DNX series, a multi-axis solution and compact multitasking machine, machines complex workpieces and has recently become available with the machine control system Siemens Sinumerik One. machining center Partner for tomorrow’s manufacturing The world’s leading trade fair for metalworking is celebrating its 50 th anniversary, and the CHIRON Group will of course be there to showcase its expertise in both technology and consulting. Under the motto “Your Partner for Next-Generation Manufacturing” the company will present its latest advancements for precision, cost-effective and future-ready manufacturing processes. Volatile markets, rising quality and traceability requirements, skills shortages and increasing investment pressure shape the economic environment of many manufacturing companies. As a result, investments require more than ever partners who provide comprehensive solutions for individual manufacturing tasks. The CHIRON Group sees itself as exactly that partner: with experience, expertise, innovation and the goal of making its customers’ manufacturing processes sustainably successful and economically efficient A key feature of trade fair presence is live experience: while many exhibitors present their exhibits only virtually, the CHIRON Group showcases machining centers live in action, making precision, dynamics and process security directly tangible – especially in demanding applications and materials. Micro5 XL – micro machining in a new dimension Another highlight: the new Micro5 XL, making its first major international appearance after its successful premiere at the OPEN HOUSE. The machining center consistently builds on the proven Micro5 concept, pushing its capabilities further to offer expanded options for high-dynamic micro machining in medical and precision engineering, electronics and other challenging applications. The micro machine achieves jerk values of up to 900 m/s³, enabling excellent path and machining speeds with the highest precision. Precision machining of a titanium bone plate – an example of the expanded application range of the Micro5 XL in medical technology The FZ 19 S five axis stands for quality and productivity in large batch production; seen in live operation machining a key component for aerospace At EMO 2025 the CHIRON Group will present the machining center in live operation with tailor-made automation for the first time. The combination enables more autonomy for both variant and series manufacturers while maintaining a small footprint. Especially relevant for daily practice: the consistent, intuitive control of the machining center and automation. Another highlight: The FZ 19 S five axis shows how power, precision and productivity can be perfectly combined in 5-axis machining of high-strength materials. In live operation the single-spindle machining center will process a key component for aerospace. For machining demanding materials the FZ 19 S five axis is equipped with an HSK-A100 interface and delivers a maximum spindle torque of 408 Nm. CHIRON Group motor spindles, various rotary table packages and magazines for up to 196 tools are further plus points to maximize customer benefit through application-oriented configuration. Discover series and technologies digitally – in the “Interactive Showroom” In addition to the live presentations the “Interactive Showroom” offers a complete overview of the technology portfolio of the CHIRON Group. Here the new DZ 22 W speed+ celebrates its digital premiere, a particularly dynamic version of the double-spindle 5-axis machining center for the economical complete machining of the large components in series. The online presentation is complemented by the machine pool, which includes overhauled used and new stock machining centers from the CHIRON Group – the ideal solution for a quick, cost-effective upgrade of manufacturing with proven cutting-edge technology.
