Events Innovations, Product Launches, and Solutions for Efficient and Sustainable Packaging to Seal the Future SEALPAC is exhibiting at IFFA 2025 in hall 12.1, stand E79. Under its motto #SealingTheFuture, SEALPAC will be presenting various types of cutting-edge technology, all made in Germany, during IFFA 2025. At the world‘s leading trade show for meat and (alternative) protein manufacturers, visitors will experience pioneering, cross-platform technologies at the stand of the German packaging expert. For the very first time, SEALPAC is exhibiting its F-series thermoformer, which is bound to set ground-breaking standards in high-performance applications. Companies in the food industry are increasingly faced with the challenge of making their production process more efficient, meeting legal sustainability requirements, and at the same time developing attractive packaging for the point of sale. Through innovative technologies, SEALPAC supports its customers in meeting these requirements. The family-owned company with two plants in Oldenburg, Germany, sees itself as a dependable partner to the food industry and supports its customers through the entire packaging process, from the initial idea to the packaged product in the shelves of the retailer. At IFFA 2025, the packaging specialist will be launching the F-series, a nextgeneration thermoformer range, at its new location in hall 12.1. In addition, various solutions in the tray-sealing segment, which meet both the requirements of efficient, high-volume production and the needs of companies with smaller outputs, complement its trade fair presence. The F-series: a game changer in the segment of thermoforming The new, high-performance F-series thermoformer, SEALPAC’s first complete in-house design in this segment, represents an entirely new approach to packaging technology. Companies benefit from a significant increase in production through optimal process flows and minimum machine downtime. The F-series flexibly processes a wide range of materials and is therefore particularly future proof, especially with regard to fulfilling the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation). Furthermore, it is equipped with the latest control software that enables flawless in-line connectivity and also allows for easy network integration. This makes the SEALPAC F a true industry 4.0 machine. A special feature of the F-series thermoformer is its modern hygiene concept. The easy-access design makes cleaning and maintenance intuitive, therefore enhancing machine availability. Another highlight is the tooling quick exchange system on the F-series. This ensures maximum flexibility and simplifies switching to a new application significantly. The sealing tool is replaced almost without hand tools and with minimal effort. This not only speeds up the changeover process, but is also safer for the operating personnel. With a high level of in-house production, the F-series stands for outstanding quality and durability. As such, the thermoformer sets new standards in terms of packaging performance, sustainability, and userfriendliness. A6max traysealer: resource-saving with optimal appearance In Frankfurt, by means of the SEALPAC A6max, a member of the renowned Amax-series, the packaging expert is demonstrating the production of sustainable packaging solutions that combine efficiency, flexibility, and an attractive product presentation. This versatile traysealer enables the production of high-quality, safe, and visually appealing packaging, with a format change concept that is unparalleled in terms of speed. At IFFA 2025, SEALPAC impressively demonstrates how different tray materials, such as ultra-light PP trays, FiberWise pulp trays, and paper-based eTray®, can be processed without changing the tooling. M-Flex: highest quality standards, unparalleled flexibility The compact SEALPAC M-Flex semiautomatic traysealer enables companies with smaller production volumes and frequent product changes to enter the professional world of packaging. It combines highest precision with an efficient packaging process and is ideal for meat workshops, business startups, 36 food Marketing & Technology • April 2025
Events test kitchens, and catering suppliers. On a small footprint, the M-Flex processes all major packaging materials into safe, attractive, and contemporary packaging. In addition to standard solutions, innovative concepts such as FlatMap®, TraySkin®, FlatSkin®, or EasyLid® can also be implemented. Just like the F-series thermoformers and the Amax-series traysealers, the M-Flex is the smartest solution in its category with the lowest cost of ownership. All these machines have been designed for the requirements of 2025, and beyond. SEALPAC’s supermarket: packaging innovations to inspire A highlight at the SEALPAC stand will once again be its “Supermarket of Innovations”. Here, the company presents numerous innovative packaging concepts from international markets, all produced on SEALPAC equipment. Refrigerators contain the latest trends and developments whilst offering the industry valuable suggestions for future-oriented solutions. The supermarket is therefore an important source of inspiration for companies that want to further develop their packaging concepts and adapt them to changing market needs. fmt For more information: www.sealpacinternational.com Grinders, Mixer Grinders and Bowl Cutters: Sophisticated Technology with All-round Perfection K+G Wetter at IFFA 2025 in Hall 8.0 Stand D96 From compact trade cutters to the industrial vacuum cutter VCM 550, the machines from K+G Wetter offer a comprehensive overview of sophisticated vacuum technology, efficient cooking functions and many other clever cutter features for all company sizes. K+G Wetter also offers a wide range of grinders and mixer grinders – from the small EW 114 mm electric grinder, to angle grinders and mixer angle grinders with and without loading, to the AW 280 industrial grinder. The new WW 200 angle grinder will be at IFFA as a flexible all-rounder for fresh and frozen meat blocks. Perfect hygiene is crucial in food production. This makes it all the more important that the machines used can be cleaned quickly and easily – like the bowl cutters of the Hygienic Secure series from K+G Wetter. The new VCM 70 Hygienic Secure shows that the sophisticated features of these machines are not just for large-scale industry: in a compact size for butchers, it is equipped with everything needed to quickly and perfectly clean the cutter after use or before the next batch. Sloping and handpolished stainless-steel surfaces, parts that can be removed with a flick of the wrist without the need for any tools, such as the patented knife cover strip, the bowl scraper or the large cleaning flaps in the vacuum bowl: Hygienic Secure is well thought out in every detail, saves cleaning time every day and ensures maximum hygiene safety. Flexible in use, from vegan to pet food Even with vegetarian and vegan food, the machines from K+G Wetter have a decisive effect on consistency and flavor. Vacuum cutters, in particular, demonstrate their strengths here: the cooling effect of the vacuum protects the vegetable proteins from denaturing and, due to stronger soaking, longer protein chains are formed. Added to this is the intensification of flavor and improved consistency of the products manufactured in a vacuum, which also have a significantly longer shelf life due to the lower oxygen content. When it comes to pet food, the grinders from K+G Wetter are in demand: processing raw materials that contain bones and are frozen to -21 degrees presents a major challenge for the machines used. The industrial grinders from K+G Wetter perform these tasks day after day for many hours and thus process tens of thousands of tons of raw materials over many years. An investment that pays off and reliably produces pet food of the best quality. Think tank IFFA “We always develop our machines and software with a view to making the daily work of butchers and other food producers easier, safer and faster,” summarizes Volker Schlosser. The International Sales Manager at K+G Wetter is therefore looking forward to six days of IFFA trade fair in Frankfurt full of discussions and exchanges with old and new customers and partners. “Of course we want to sell machines. But exchanging experiences is of course also important to us at a trade fair – where else can you find so much concentrated expertise in such a compact period?” fmt For more information: https://kgwetter.de/en/ Photo: K+G Wetter food Marketing & Technology • April 2025 37
