Packaging Totally

Packaging Totally Flexible Conveying for Oriented Closure Systems GASSNER, the specialist for cap-feedingsystems, presents a conveyor that is flexible in all aspects for feeding of already oriented closures, lids or cans. On top of that, the conveyor is also very hygienic and energy-saving. In modern high-performance filling lines, closures or lids are usually sorted and oriented outside the hygiene zone and then fed fully automatically to the capping machines. Due to the partly vertical, partly horizontal routing, different conveyers had to be used up to now. Complicated connecting chutes were necessary and entailed a great deal of changeover effort when changing the type of product. Conveying with air, which is very common, is a proven and good technique for some cases, but sometimes there was a lot of abrasion and plastic threads, the so-called angel hair, this means hygienic disadvantages. In addition, the generation of sterile conveying air is very energy-intensive. Alternatively used, mechanical conveying devices often led to problems with sensitive and fragile closures the FlexiLiner in use with sports closures because they were pressed oval, for example. With all these systems, the use of previously unspecified closures is almost impossible - everything is very rigid and inflexible. With the ambitious goal of giving the customer more flexibility, the engineers at GASSNER have now intensively addressed this issue and developed a comprehensive solution with the FlexiLiner series, which eliminates all disadvantages and allows for individual wishes. Each closure is gripped only once, at the very beginning of the conveyor section, individually, gently and carefully (SoftGrip). After that, it remains in this position during the entire conveying process, without moving relative to the conveyor, without rubbing against guides, and without the risk of getting stuck or jammed anywhere. With one unit, any route can be realised without interruption. The continuous conveyor line can run vertically, horizontally, diagonally, upwards, downwards, to the left and/or to the right in any order. This means that the conveyor line can be adapted extremely flexibly and optimally to the customer's a bow into the vertical requirements and to the situation in the filling plant. Transitions and connecting chutes, which are prone to faults and produce abrasion, are no longer necessary and are eliminated altogether. All of this increases operational safety immensely and prevents a lack of closures on the capping machine. The reduction of downtimes increases the line efficiency. Costs for preform rejects due to lack of closures are a thing of the past. The hygienic situation is significantly improved by the absence of abrasion and angel hair. Disturbing air turbulence, such as with air conveyors, does not occur with the FlexiLiner. In addition, the transported closures are protected to the maximum. There is no flexible in the routing 48
